Tamera Coyne-Beasley

We are happy to announce that NCNC’s Pediatric and Adolescent Director Tamera Coyne-Beasley, MD MPH, is profiled in the first issue of The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health. This journal is the newest member of The Lancet family of journals and will have a strong clinical focus and an international perspective. The Lancet Child & Adolsecent health launches its print edition in August 2017.

This article chronicles her journey from Boston, MA to becoming the current president of the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine. This article was published online ahead of print, full text available online here.

As someone who has provided health care and been engaged in public health efforts in Africa, Central and South America, and the Caribbean, Coyne-Beasley is inspired and motivated by her faith and passion to ensure that current and future generations of adolescents will have equity. "I want to make life better for all adolescents and young adults to ensure that they have the confidence, competency, and opportunity to achieve their dreams."
